2005 golf tdi problem started with intermittent locking problems with the remote.
Havng the same problem with my drivers door.
Dealing with locking unlocking issues as well i had left rear door issue just like yours now i have the front passanger door that won t lock take it to the dealer asap to have them eat the repairs sadly i m sitting at 42k and need to solve it my self.
Problem progressed to display saying driver s door open and leaving the dome light on and display with the drivers door icon lit up.
Sometimes when i go to lock the doors all will lock except the drivers.
Locks work from the switch but not the remote.
The battery is likely dead and needs to be replaced but the remote s may also need to be reprogrammed to work.
This issue also indicates a bad lock actuator.
